Clean and Clean Continuous Control Acne Cleanser
Skin type: Oily, sensitive, acne prone
Hi pretty ladies.
I am enjoying my stay in the States and exploring new places, meeting new people besides continuing with my academic work. I discovered new products unavailable in India here in the US, so I thought of purchasing some for reviewing it for you people. Today's review will be on Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. Let's see if it's an effective one for oily, acne-prone skin.
Price:
$4.99 for 5 Oz.
Product Description:
Clean and Clear Continuous Acne Cleanser is a multipurpose cleanser that helps remove dirt and oil while treating and preventing breakouts. Specially formulated to give you clearer skin, this cleanser is ideal for normal, oily, and combination skin. This cleanser contains 10% benzoyl peroxide, the number-one pharmacist-recommended acne treatment. Pore-penetrating technology deposits the acne medicine to help fight and prevent breakouts long after you wash. The cleanser is intended for daily use.
My Experience with Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser:
Packaging: The packaging is pretty basic and efficient. It comes in a white and violet tube, with a flip open cap which shuts tightly. All product details are written on the body of the tube. I feel the tube isn't very bulky and can be carried during travels.
Acne-clearing face washes are a rage for teens and adults. You never know when pesky breakouts may ruin your face. I get occasional acne, mostly on my chin, nose and forehead area, as I have an oily T-zone. I have used many Clean and Clear face wash variants during my teens and I was excited on finding this in a store here.
This face wash looks slightly creamy and is not gel based. It doesn't give good lather, so if you like rich, foaming washes, you might not like it. It gives a cooling sensation to your skin, and makes it feel slightly tingly initially, this is due to the presence of menthol. I feel it is a great one for Indian summers.
It cleans my face well, but if you have makeup on, you would probably need it to remove it with micellar water or some makeup remover, before proceeding to wash your face with this face wash. It cleans skin, and definitely controls oil. It contains benzoyl peroxide, which is a well-known acne treatment agent. I had a couple of acne on my forehead, and some tiny zits on my chin, which dried up after using this for two days. My T-zone oiliness is controlled for up to 4-5 hours.
I feel this is not a deep cleaning face wash and doesn't address other concerns like blackheads and whiteheads. If you just need an oil-control face wash to help prevent pimples, this might work for you. For Indian summers, I feel this might work well as a night-time ritual before toning and applying oil-free moisturizer or gel.
On the flip side, it has chemical constituents like alcohol and derivatives. It badly stings eyes if it enters your eyes by mistake. So you might want to keep that in mind, before picking this up.
